Our CLEO is crafted from 100% genuine cowhide leather and features a distinctive croco embossing achieved through a meticulous embossing process, which imparts a unique texture and appearance to the leather: Using heat and pressure, the leather is permanently structured in an embossing machine.

Manufacturing in three steps

1. First, the leather is smoothed, dyed, and prepared

2. Next, the embossing is done with a heated steel roller or plate that transfers the characteristic croco pattern

3. The structure is fixed through pressure – ensuring a durable and shape-stable result

Cleaning

• Regularly wipe your bag with a soft, dry cloth

• For more significant stains, use a slightly damp microfiber cloth – being careful not to rub too hard to protect the embossing

• Avoid aggressive cleaning agents and leather fats, as they can damage the structure

Care

• It is advisable to treat the leather with a colorless leather balm or a special cream for embossed smooth leather approximately every 1–2 months

• Apply the balm sparingly and evenly with a soft cloth – also into the indentations of the embossing

• Always test in an inconspicuous area first

What you should avoid

• Direct sunlight, intense heat, or high humidity can affect the color and texture of leather

• For light colors (e.g., cream), be cautious of contact with dark fabrics such as denim – this may lead to discoloration

Storage

• Ideally, store your bag in a fabric pouch – not in plastic, as leather needs to breathe

• When not in use, fill it with tissue paper to maintain its shape
